lunar new year eve!!
a day where everyone will be having dinner with their family and loved ones..
a start of a new year for the chinese..
if u're in msn and have seen my nick..
you'll know that "this yr CNY wun be lonely again!"
at least will be better than last year ba..
and dun worry i wun be cropping myself at home this year...
if not i'll sure be having lots of rubbish thoughts..
the other day chris just say why i didn update my bday happenings here.
but i told him i really have no time to write such long stories during that period.
not that i dun want to write.
so.. just keep a lookout for the updates on the details of my special occasions then. ;)
yesterday went esplanade there.
wanted to go chun dao he pan.
then to our shock (me and chris lah), the grassland is EMPTY!!
feel kana cheated lor.
in the end me and chris went carrefour.
bought 20 mandarins for $4.95?
cheap like dunno what right?
though no one will come my hs to bai nian.
but i must have mandarin oranges to go other people's hs to bai nian too ma.
then we bought sushi and chiffron cake..
which is our dinner..
and carrefour sells 2 1.5liters of soft drink for $2.55.
buy four and u'll get a 1.5litres bottle of pepsi max for free!
cheap right?
hmm..
think me getting more auntie as years go by.
haha.
and i bought an art set for my nieces too.
after that we drove to somewhere near padang cos chris friend said the chun dao he pan might be at padang there.
and indeed its there!
though it's still held at esplanade there
but this time it's near fullenton hotel..
and it sucks!!
no exciting fun fair this year...
and so little stalls lor..
the deco not nice also.
and the WORST thing is...
the RAT fortune prediction is like so duh lor..
everything so bad..
sounds even worst than last yr.
cant believe it man!
and to think i read the RAT fortune book selling at Popular..
and it says that RAT this yr de fortune not bad de leh.
funny sia..
zai yi ci zhen ming this kind of fotune telling thing bu zun de?
hmm..
forget it then..
we should continue to work hard and i believe hard work will reap de.
later i'm gg to chris hs for lunar dinner..
then to chinatown..
last day liao..
so must surely go there and snatch cheap cheap stuff.
ha ha.

late in the night..
finally finish another essay of mine..
skipped another lec yesterday..
feeling bad that i haven't been putting enough efforts in my studies..
hopefully i can buck up and not skip any lessons again..

think i still in holiday mood?

hmm..
i'm really cracking over my pea-sized brain on how to write an essay on "family".
seems like it is similar to the one "tong nian wang shi' de essay.
haiz.
headache arh..
been staring at the window words program page for dunno 1 afternoon liao..
and yet only one paragraph comes out..
sianz..
saman says she's real stressed up for tis sem.
she wants to do better than last sem.
however, she also feels that this sem's modules are much harder and "chim"..
same for me of course.
and to think i've been forgetting how to write a lot of chinese characters..
how am i gg to substain the good grades i've gotten last sem?
it'll be the 8th wonders of the world if i can get 3 As as with last sem for this semester.
*thinking hard..
and ya, i've finally signed up for max online 2000..
sharing with yin yin at $58.80 per mth..
at least now i can spend more time online liao.
though my main purpose will be research and convenience of checking out notes d/l and etc.

chris gg sponser me 1k to buy my laptop.
and another 500 bucks as ang bao money for me.
dun ask me y my bf give me ang bao.
cos he's given me since the 1st cny we spent together.
to let me buy stuff that i want...
cos i always dun have much ang bao money to collect de.
tomor still have tuition at 12.

ya it's been weeks since i last blogged..
reason being my new place has no network to tap!!!
not at all..
perhaps my new place de neighbours men too poor???
i could only locate a few network connections in the kitchen..
with all being set security password....
SIANZ!!!
that's why you dun see me online so often le too..
and somemore school just started one week only..
and already by next week sat we have to submit one essay..
in chinese of course..
think it's been 5 yrs since i last wrote a compo??
and also a test coming next thur..
haiz..
and to think i'm still in holiday mood sia..
alright.
enough of my complaints and crap here.
i have to start searching for some ideas to start on my essay le.
hopefully i will still be able to maintain my grades ba.
at least get a B for the modules..
course i know my CL standard is only ard B in NIE.

11th Dec to 13th Dec -Changi Village Holiday Flat Chalet (First Chapter)
The chalet organized by Lee Hwa and company for me.
11th Dec afternoon, me and Lee Hwa set off to Alan's house at AMK.
(P/s. alan is lee hwa's bf now!! CONGRADs to their new found love. may their love be sweet and loving always.)
while i waited in the living room, Lee Hwa and Alan was preparing the food etc for that night's bbq. Afterwhich, Alan drove both of us to Changi Village to meet up with the others.
However, most of them are unable to make it so early and instead we met up with only Wei Liang instead.
*brb. out to buy groceries. ;)
back now.
and i've talked about us meeting up with Wei Liang that day.
so the four of us (me,Lee Hwa,Alan and Wei Liang) went to the food center at Changi Village there to have breakfast cum lunch.
a lot of good food there.
a MUST-GO for food lovers.
tried the "ba zhuo mee" from the left stall (2 stalls side by side selling same food!!)
bagus!!!
after a fulling "brunch"..
we went to check in our chalet.
it looks exactly like a HDB flat.
though from the outside it's kindda old and run-down..
but when we finally step into the room.
it's a 3 room flat btw.
wow! it's really cozy and clean.

relative cheap too compared to norm chalets we had outside at pasir ris and east coast etc.
initially wanted to go check out the Changi beach but since so many of them have not arrived yet... we decided to wait then.
in the end, teresa, bernard, chiau yi, terry, alvin, weiling arrived (not in sequence as i've forgotten who arrived first le but i know weiling and alvin was the last two to arrive :)
However, as it was too late le, so we decided to just bbq inside the flat instead.
and by right, you CANNOT bbq inside their flats de hor.
just that, all of us too lazy to go down to the beach so...
hee hee.
we had a DIY bbq pit using an aluminium tray and bricks "kop" by Hwa and Alan.
we did not prepare chicken wings but chicken meat instead.
as we got budget u see.
each of us contributed ard $17 if i rem correctly.
but at the end of the bbq, we all felt that chicken meat was indeed a wise choice!!!
cos chicken wings most of the time would either turn black or not fully cooked when BBQ..
and most of all..
very difficult to eat with the bones..
but chicken meat is different.
very yummy indeed.
especially the sambal sotong..
my favorite among all.
the sambal is really "gou la"
but hor.. the sotong cut until too small le lor..
must eat a lot then can taste the meat. ;p
initially, me, teresa and chiau yi kept on staying inside the air-con room and talk..
left only lee hwa and the guys outside in the kitchen bbq~ing.
though she kept on asking us to go out and help...
the three of us were still busy talking instead.
in e end, when we sense that something is not right..
we went out to help out.
note: hwa, sorry for not helping u all out that night... :(
but of course in the end everything was alright again..
cos hwa was not a petty babe..
she forgets unhappy incidents quickly..
that is also the reason why she has so many good friends with her.
and if u dunno yet..
she was the one who organized this chalet for me.
in the middle of the BBQ, i was begaining to feel puzzled why all the others have disappeared and only me and teresa outside bbq~ing..
suddenly, the lights were out!!
me and teresa thought that the flat "zhou dian"..
and at the same time, hwa and the others surprised me with a cake while singing birthday song!!!
surprise!! surprise!! surprise!!
haha. it was a lemon ciffron cake.
a new taste to me.
hee.
really touched by their efforts.
all of them were so kind..
and they have long treated me as one of them liao.
what power hwa has to bring all of us together as a gang!
haha. :D
after the bbq, we went down to the coffeshop below it and have a small chat among ourselves.
the four of us, Hwa, Alan, Teresa and myself decided to go to the Changi Temple (open to public 24 hrs) to pray while the rest of the guys will stay behind and watch soccer.
